Since the dawn of democracy in South Africa, the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) has embarked on numerous initiatives to provide financial and non-financial support, mainly targeting the smallholder producers.

The purpose of the portal is to register all the farmers in South Africa. This will help in terms of getting the right statistics and to help all emerging farmers

The portal will also help in case disaster strikes. We will know where our farmers are situated so that we can provide necessary help as department.
